Pay £5, get free BT Openzone internet access

Starbucks’ UK customers can now get free Wi-Fi in the chain’s coffee shops, in a tie-up with BT Openzone.

The free Wi-Fi service is available to Starbucks loyalty reward card members who put £5 of credit onto the card. Card users will need to register their card on the Starbucks website.
Two hours of free web browsing per session

Starbucks customers will need to abide by an acceptable use policy, and each free web-browsing session is limited to a maximum duration of two hours, although there is no limit to the number of sessions each customer can use per day.

The free BT Openzone Wi-Fi service is reportedly available at 650 Starbucks branches in the UK, and users can either find their local Wi-Fi-enabled branch at www.starbucks.co.uk or at the online BT Openzone Wi-Fi finder.

Increasingly, Wi-Fi capabilities are being included in mobile phones, and most high-profile smartphones can be used for internet access using Wi-Fi hotspots. These mobiles include the iPhone 3GS, Nokia N97, LG KC910 Renoir, Samsung i900 Omnia and Sony Ericsson W960i.
