Please find below what we skimmed from the world wide web.

T3.com reckoned that the C6 was a “decent stab” at bringing the N97 magic to a lower price point. The reviewer agreed that the keyboard was a stand-out feature, saying, “It took us only a few minutes to get really up to speed with it, the keys offering a reassuring thunk every time they’re tapped, with a decent bobble on each one to ensure you don’t slip onto the wrong key while tapping out texts.”

They did raise some concerns about the placement of the D-Pad and Space bar, though, which the reviewer found to be uncomfortable to use.

Tech Radar had a very in-depth review which compared the C6 to the earlier C5 and thought that the newer phone “certainly has a step up in features to match its higher-numbered name”.

The display was complemented for its appealingly natural look when displaying images and clear, readable text and the phone was praised for its easy to set up email, ’sensible’ layout and for having such an impressive screen for the price point.

Tech Radar did feel that the phone was let down by a laggy OS and a rather unresponsive touchscreen but praised the overall robust feel of the operating system and apps.

My Nokia Blog felt that the C6 was closer to the 5800 XpressMusic than the N97, and was surprised at how hefty the phone felt copmared to other Nokia smartphones. The reviewer felt that call quality was “top notch” in common with many Nokia’s and that sound quality from the media player and headphone jack was acceptable for the price.

The camera was not considered one of the C6’s strongest features, but concluded “if you’re simply on a lookout for a capable and affordable device with one of the best physical qwerty keys out there, the C6 is hard bargain to match”

Taiwan based company HTC will be announcing their latest cell phone on the 15th of September, in London.
The Desire HD and the HTC Vision will be running on Android operating system.

The guys over at Softpedia, Gizmodo or Eurodroid have some interesting things to say about this announcement.
I invite you to read all three opinions by simply following the links attached to their names but here’s a short summary of the three:

Based on the latest leaks on HTC’s roadmap, we might easily conclude that this is another device than the HTC Desire HD, or the G1 Blaze/HTC Vision, the official confirmation on the device should arrive only one month from now, at the said press event HTC is readying in London.

As Gizmodo points out, there are little chances that the device in question would be a Windows Phone 7 handset, since Microsoft already announced that the first such phones would ship in October, but we should consider this possibility too.

The bets seem to be on Desire HD, since the “button-shaped image” that can be seen in smoke on the invite resembles the lens of this device, as EuroDroid notes.

The box works as an over-sized dryer but I couldn’t find any specific details on it.
What I can say is that if your phone is salvaged you get to buy the product for a price of 1000 yen or about $12. Otherwise, feel free to return it.

This is not yet available in Europe or US but if it does make it through, my guess is that it’s gonna have killer sales.

The guys over at PCMag managed to compile a list full of useful advices concerning the improvement of the Android’s battery life. These advices will work on any Android Phone starting with T-Mobile G1 and going to the latest Motorola Droid X.

Please find their findings below but remember to check their page too for the full article:

Set display brightness to adjust automatically. Turning down the brightness is obvious. But the automatic adjustment setting is less well known. Activating it means the OS will automatically dim its display in darker environments, including seemingly well-lit indoor rooms.

Reduce e-mail, Twitter, and Facebook polling. This is a big one. Even handset manufacturers like Motorola don’t necessary get this. Set your various messaging apps to “manual” and you’ll instantly extend your device’s battery life by a significant amount.

Kill extra tasks. This one is controversial, because Android does its own task management. Each new version of Android has improved automatic task management. But some programs still misbehave, especially social-networking apps that like to poll the Internet frequently. Having a task killer like Advanced Task Killer around can help neutralize unexpected network access and lengthen your battery life.

Turn hardware features off. It’s great that today’s phones have GPS, Wi-Fi, and Bluetooth, but do you really need all three activated 24 hours per day? Android keeps location-based apps resident in the background. The constant drain on the battery will become noticeable, fast. If you’ve got an HTC EVO 4G, you can turn off 4G mode separately—a good thing, since WiMAX consumes extra power but has yet to blanket the country. On AT&T and T-Mobile phones, you can even turn 3G off when you don’t need speedy Internet access.

Dump unnecessary home screen widgets. Just because they’re sitting on the home screen, seemingly inactive, doesn’t mean they’re not consuming power. That goes for widgets that poll status updates in the background, as well as ones that just sit there but look pretty and animated.

Reduce RSS feed update frequency. Staying current with the news is fine, but why update feeds constantly in the background? Plenty of third-party apps set their defaults to poll at a set period of time. Others may offer a choice, but give no indication to the user that battery life will suffer as a result.

Android Market can help. Power Manager is a powerful Android app that helps you manage many of the settings we discussed in this article. It also can add a few features here and there when necessary, such as the ability to tune the screen timeout while on a call (although the effect of that one can be miniscule). If your Android device lacks a task manager, try the free Advanced Task Manager.

Subaru has announced that purchasers of its 2011 Outback will be able to pick up an in-car Wi-Fi system as an $499 add-on (plus $35 activation fee) to the car’s $23,000 asking price.
The 802.11 a/b/g hotspot runs on 2.5G and 3G cellular networks, powered by Autonet Mobile, giving drivers and passengers a Wi-Fi bubble throughout a fairly significant chunk of the United States.

Like most other wireless Internets services, however, Subaru’s Mobile Internet isn’t going to come free—nor unlimited. The company offers two standard access plans: $29 per month for one gigabyte of data or $59 per month for five gigabytes.

There are no overage charges, however; Autonet Mobile merely throttles your bandwidth down at an increasing rate for every bit of data transferred beyond the limits of a given plan.

The one-year service contract for Subaru’s 2011 Outback comes with the first free months free-of-charge before the service switches over to Autonet Mobile’s standard rates.

Average download speeds, as indicated by the company, range from 400 to 800 kbps downloads and 128 to 300 kbps uploads when hitting up a 3G connection to a lesser 120 to 200 kbps download rate and 50 to 100 kbps upload rate over 2.5G service.

The Kicking Tires blog over at cars.com remains unconvinced.

“We’ve said it before, and we’ll say it again: It doesn’t make sense to pay for most in-car Wi-Fi solutions from automakers,” writes editor David Thomas.

Sharon Silke Carty over at USA Today’s Drive On blog crunched the numbers, however, and found that in-car Wi-Fi through Subaru’s Mobile Internet plan actually runs cheaper than comparable smartphone plans.

“For 24 months, the Subaru plan will cost you $1,164,” she writes, referencing Billshrink’s Total Cost of Ownership infographic. “The average iPhone user is paying $2,838 for that same timeframe.”

For what it’s worth, smartphone-based Internet is also truly “mobile.” While one is free to uninstall and reinstall Autonet Mobile’s Wi-Fi device into supported vehicles, you can’t exactly carry it with you.

That kind of functionality is built into the company’s newer product, the CarFi, which allows you to slap docking stations into your fleet of vehicles and transfer the wireless “bubble,” as it were, at a whim.

Shawn Spencer from The Daily Tech News made a short review on a new Nokia phone but this time it does not focus on it’s smart-phone capabilities but more on the coolness factor of the phone.
This one can literary stand up whenever you receive a call and you can reject it by simply taping it down.

In mobile industries, Nokia was never left behind in the marketing race of phone innovations and high technology concepts of mobile phone. Nonstop development of high technology brought new trends in phone industry. Recently Nokia creative designer Jeremy Innes- Hopkins comes with this interesting idea of phone call notifications. His concept was an active live motion phone called the Nokia kinetic.

The idea comes with ground breaking creative notion, wherein the phone responds to notifications through movement. The concept was viable with a built in electromagnet in the base of the phone, which is responsible of allowing weight to be shifted from one side to the other and causes the phone to be in motion and gradually stands up.

The user can use a gentle tap in order to dismiss a call, causing it to descend and returns to its passive standby mode. However, the concept is still in abstract and remaining as an idea. Its possibility was never given any assurance nor declined. This amazing breakthrough brought difference and uniqueness among other wise spec featured phones. Somehow, phones in motion are cooler than those vibrating ones and it would be handy and even does not require anymore an additional stand accessory if it could independently do it by itself.

Matt Buchanan (Gizmodo) managed to get his hands on the brand new Windows Phone 7 and has plenty of things to say about it. Make sure you go and check his whole review over at MSNBC. I’ll just go ahead and post below the summary of his findings:

The Big Picture
Windows Phone 7 is good. Really good. It has the raw components needed to build a great smartphone. Or at least, one from 2009. Is that enough? It’s starting a generation behind Android and iPhone, which now support tens of millions of devices. On top of that, it’s behind them functionally, too, missing things that are now table stakes, like copy and paste and multitasking for third-party applications. People might not know what ‘multitasking’ is, they’ll just wonder why they can’t play Pandora in the background.

And apps? iPhone and Android both have over 100,000. Developers go to where the users are; users go to where the content is. Microsoft has to break a vicious, virtuous cycle. If anybody can do this, rebuild an empire from less than nothing, it’s Microsoft. Patience is perhaps Microsoft’s greatest virtue, but sheer greed is what it needs right now. Making Windows Phone something that people want to buy is going to require the most herculean effort the company’s made in a long, long time. Windows Vista and 7 style onslaughts for mindshare. It has to snag developers and users, by the screaming bucketful. Microsoft has to want it bad enough. Fortunately, Windows Phone 7 might just be good enough.

Hello wifi-ers!
This week’s surprise is the Newest Device with MOTOBLUR™: Motorola CHARM™
We have a fresh out of the oven press release from Motorola with some teasing info on the most charming android yet!

Motorola (NYSE: MOT) today announced the upcoming availability of Motorola CHARM™, a touch screen smartphone that packs a social networking punch with Android™ 2.1, MOTOBLURTM enhancements, a compact design and a BACKTRACK™ feature that makes screen navigation even more intuitive.

Motorola CHARM is expected to be available this summer exclusively in the U.S. for customers of T-Mobile USA, Inc.

“Motorola strives to provide an increased customizable user experience, which is enabled by our latest enhancements to MOTOBLUR and featured on the new Motorola CHARM,” said Jean Pierre Le Cannellier, vice president, Americas Marketing, Motorola Mobile Devices. “Combine that with a compact design, easy handling and all the features you would expect from a smartphone, and we believe that CHARM with MOTOBLUR adds the social ability and workability consumers are looking for.”

Motorola CHARM provides consumers all the features of a smartphone with the intuitive navigation of a 2.8 inch touch screen – all in a compact, pocketable design that makes messaging a snap using the combination of a full QWERTY keyboard and touch screen. The BACKTRACK navigation pad, located on the back of the smartphone directly behind the home screen, is similar to a laptop touch panel and enables an unobstructed view of the Web, texts, e-mails and news feeds. Plus, with Android 2.1 and enhanced MOTOBLUR features, CHARM offers new customization and filtering options.

“Being social with friends and family comes naturally for T-Mobile customers, and we think mobilizing their social experiences should be effortless,” said Saj Sahay, director of product management, T-Mobile USA. “With the new Motorola CHARM and enhancements to the Android and MOTOBLUR experience, we’re bringing more social skills to our broad portfolio of Android-powered smartphones.”

Motorola CHARM will be the first device in the U.S. to feature an enhanced version of MOTOBLUR built on Android 2.1, which syncs contacts, posts, messages, photos and much more in easy to manage streams — from sources such as Facebook®, MySpace, Twitter™, Gmail™, work and personal e-mail. MOTOBLUR now allows for even greater customization, providing users more options to follow who and what really matters.

MOTOBLUR filters can be selected from a single social networking account, contacts, group or messaging account so that users can select only the information they want to stream live to the Happenings and Messages widgets. Users can move and resize pre-loaded home screen widgets to personalize up to seven home screen panels for an even more custom experience. Lastly, consumers can manage their phone’s battery consumption by selecting different power modes to conserve battery.

Contacts in MOTOBLUR are automatically synced to the phone from personal and work e-mail and social network accounts. MOTOBLUR will continue to provide convenience and peace of mind, as lost devices can be located from a secure personal information portal and even remotely erased if necessary. In addition, one user name and password brings back contacts, messages and connectivity to previously configured networks and e-mail providers.

Last, but not least, Moto Phone Portal enables you to access and manage your phone’s data from any browser through a USB or Wi-Fi connection. Edit content and view important phone information while at home or on-the-go. Leave pictures on a friend’s PC, share a video at the local Internet café or share a presentation during an important business meeting.

Additional features on Motorola CHARM include:

* Adobe® Flash® enabled Web browsing experience to view most of today’s content-rich sites
* Full suite of Google™ services including: Google Search™, Google Maps™, Gmail™ and access to thousands of apps on Android Market™
* Pinch to zoom functionality and two-finger swipe to easily surf the Web and sort through photos

* Capture sharp photos with a 3MP camera and KODAK PERFECT TOUCH technology for better, brighter pictures
* One-touch social media uploads to Facebook®, MySpace, PicasaTM and PhotoBucket®
* CrystalTalkTM PLUS for enhanced audio and call quality with a second microphone for increased voice quality while filtering out background noise
* Corporate email pushed immediately to the device for instant inbox updates

He’s testing the iPhone 4 camera to no end and he’s coming up with some interesting results.
Have a look at some of his findings below but make sure to visit his full review here to check out the image gallery as well.

Ergonomics

In use and as a phone, the iPhone is wonderful—minus that stupid antennae problem. As a camera, not so much. For starters, it seems like you’re shooting with a piece of glass. Thin cameras are nice, but when they’re too thin there is a problem. Think twice about using your iPhone as your primary camera. The ergonomic layout of it doesn’t allow users to grip it in a way that allows the photographer to take the best pictures possible.

One major reason for this is the fact that one needs to press the button on the touchscreen to take a photo. With the buttons on the side of the iPhone, I don’t understand why one of these couldn’t be programmed to take the pictures instead.

And if Jobs says that I’m holding it wrong…
Autofocus

The autofocus is actually very, very good. It focuses exactly where you would want it to and it seems to also have facial recognition which works even better for the types of things that iPhone users would shoot. Despite this, it is a bit slow to focus but it will focus. The tap to focus feature is very useful and works well enough for most people that know how to use their iPhone.

The autofocus seems to work very well even when the shooter is in low-light situations. Devindra and I tested this out in some of the darker and shadowy areas around Seaport. Part of this is once again, the very good tap to focus feature. It works very well in areas that most other point-and-shoots will struggle.

The even better feature is that if your subject is moving, the iPhone 4′s autofocus will track the subject as it moves. This is great for when your friends are mildly intoxicated or even when you are. From this test, it can also be concluded that being jittery after drinking lots of coffee will not effect your focusing very much unless the focusing is being slow.
